Want to search Google for a solution to the problem you’ve just encountered in the code? When I am highly confident that StackOverflow will help me (just as it does most of the time), I do this:

site:stackoverflow.com restore mysql database

I often find it more effective than doing a regular search because 100% of the results will be from StackOverflow, which has higher signal-to-noise ratio than most of the websites I’d otherwise find on the first page (less concise articles, SEO spam).

Of course, it can be used with any other website in any other context. I often search Reddit in this way when I am looking for hobby-related things.
